The start of 2023 has been remarkable, as I had the pleasure of promoting Los Cabos at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR 2023) in Madrid, Spain, from January 16 to 20. This prestigious event is one of the most significant in the global tourism industry. Los Cabos was represented by 16 companies from the hotel sector, DMC, and service operators, showcasing a wide array of luxury services, wellness, nature, meetings, and adventure. The destination anticipates welcoming around 8,000 European tourists as a result of this participation.

At FITUR, I had the opportunity to collaborate with esteemed representatives of our destination, including Rodrigo Esponda, General Director of the Los Cabos Tourism Board (FITURCA); Quirino Ordaz Coppel, Mexico’s Ambassador to Spain; Rosa Maribel Collins, Baja California Sur’s Tourism Secretary; and Mauricio Pérez Salicrup, Chairman of the Los Cabos Hotel Association, among others.

Bringing my new art of Interactive Walls to Madrid was an invaluable experience. This city, with its deep-rooted history of artistic expressions dating back to the prehistoric peoples of Altamira, provided a unique backdrop for merging new technologies with rich historical contexts. It was truly enriching to see how modern interactive art could harmonize with a place steeped in history.

In this new experience of Immersive Art, the viewer becomes the creator, using their senses to craft unique digital pieces. As a contemporary artist, I recognize that Immersive Art offers a novel way to engage viewers, evoking emotions that transcend visual perception and delve into deeper sensory experiences.

I believe that humans cannot live as mere spectators; we have an innate need to create and connect with our surroundings. This conviction drives me to continue developing interactive art that transports people to unique places and evokes unimaginable emotions.

By integrating cutting-edge technology with artistic expression, my work aims to push the boundaries of how we experience and interact with art. Through events like FITUR, I hope to inspire others to see the potential of interactive and immersive art forms and their ability to create profound connections and lasting impressions.
